Fat and the Moon Lavender & Cocoa Dry Shampoo is a non-aerosol, powder-based dry shampoo for all hair types, designed to absorb excess scalp oil, refresh roots, and extend time between washes. It’s especially useful for fine to medium hair, oily roots, and anyone wanting a waterless refresh without heavy buildup. The formula uses arrowroot powder and kaolin clay to absorb oil and help neutralize scalp odors. Organic cocoa powder, sourced through Equal Exchange farmer co-ops and certified fair trade, adds natural color so hair looks less dull or chalky across a wide range of shades. Lavender and clary sage essential oils provide a light, plant-based cocoa–lavender aroma. This dry shampoo is vegan and made only with herbs, plants, clays, and essential oils: Arrowroot Powder (Maranta arundinacea)*, Cocoa Powder (Theobroma cacao)*, Kaolin Clay, Lavender (Lavandula spp.)* and Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea)* Essential Oil (*organic). It is made without talc, synthetic fragrance, or aerosol propellants. The product is handmade in small batches and is intended to last about 6 months when stored in a cool, dry place. Packaging is designed for lower waste. The aluminum shaker is reusable, easy to refill and clean, and can be recycled at end of life. Refill pouches (2 fl oz and 4 fl oz) are made from biobased, non-GMO, home-compostable material and also meet industrial composting standards where facilities exist. Labels use compostable inks; shaker labels are PLA that can be commercially composted, and pouch labels are printed on 100% post-consumer waste.
